Notice for Building Owners and Business Contacts

JotMind’s customers are roofing contractors researching commercial buildings. If you own, manage or work at a commercial, industrial or multifamily property, information about you may appear in a customer’s workspace. This notice explains JotMind’s role and how to make a request. You do not need a JotMind account to use it.

Our role

JotMind provides software. A customer decides which buildings to research, and its workspace brings in information through data accounts the customer holds with its own providers, or that the customer enters itself. That information can include a property’s public details, the owner or operating business, and business roles and business contact details of people associated with it. JotMind processes that information only as the customer’s service provider. We do not sell it, do not share it with other customers, and do not build a database of people from it.

What you can do

  • Ask the contractor that contacted you to stop. Our Usage Policy requires customers to honor that request and mark you do-not-contact.
  • Email legal@jotmind.ai with “Building contact request” in the subject and the property address or company involved. We will forward your request to the customers responsible within 5 business days, ask them to act on it, and help them delete or correct the information in their workspace.
  • Contact the underlying data providers directly. California residents can also ask every registered data broker to delete their information at once through the state’s Delete Request and Opt-out Platform (DROP) at privacy.ca.gov.

Report misuse

If you believe someone used JotMind to harass you, contacted you after you asked them to stop, or used information about you for an unrelated purpose, tell us at legal@jotmind.ai. We investigate reports and suspend users and workspaces that break our Usage Policy.
